Hockey is a great sport. Whether it is making a quick pass to a teammate or making the decision to shoot, hockey is a game of quick decisions. It is important for each player to fully understand how to play in every aspect of the game including goaltending, defense, and offense. Created by Aharon Goldwasser, the aim of this program is to teach kids the proper fundamentals of hockey so that by the time they are able to play in leagues, they will not only have the desire to play, but the abilities and skills to play as well. Clinics will consist of 40 minutes of instruction and 20 minutes of game play. Scores will not be kept as the focus of this program is on skill development.
Aharon Goldwasser has been involved in hockey for over 15 years. Having played hockey for Moshe Aaron Yeshiva High School (MAYHS), Aharon served as a coach in the Yeshiva League for over 10 years, first as an assistant coach and later as a head coach. Aharon has been serving as a referee in the Yeshiva League for the last 2 seasons. Aharon strongly believes in the importance of learning the fundamentals of hockey. Hockey can be a great sport if played the right way.
